DROP-INS

Who can drop in with VSSC?

VSSC accepts drop-in skaters to practices only if:

  1. You are registered as a member skater with another speed skating club in Canada that provides insurance for you to be on the ice, and
  2. You have all the mandatory skating equipment already, and
  3. Space is available in the practice

Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate drop-ins from those who have no experience speed skating. All skaters new to the club should sign up for our one-month trial program. New members will start in our beginner group and coaches will determine placement from there.

How to register for a drop-in spot

All drop-in skaters must register through our drop-in system on EventBrite (link below) and pay the drop-in fee to attend practice. Ticket sales close a few hours in advance of the start of each practice date. If you do not have a ticket through EventBrite for your desired practice, you cannot drop-in with the club for that practice.

Please check in with a coach or board member when you get to practice and they will inform you of any club protocols or needed information.

If skaters are not a good fit with the training group,  VSSC will not allow the drop in to continue and will return tickets accordingly.
